2001- THE WORLD TRADE CENTER
ATTACK –This day, terrorists
hijacked three US domestic airliners and crashed them into the World Trade
Center and the Pentagon in Washington DC. It was a beautiful, Autumn day and
the second plane crashing into the World Trade Center was timed for maximum
press coverage. The images looked improbably like a movie stunt rather than a
real disaster.
Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane was supposed to be on one of the airliners, but he missed his flight because of excessive partying the night before.
