11:00AM-12:30 Topic: Politics and the Classroom: Art, Animation and The Teachers Responsibility vis a’ vis Current Events Today’s turbulent news has polarized political opinion in a way not seen since the 1960s. Strong opinions and passionate ideals pull students in many directions. What is the responsibility of the instructor to allow them to express themselves as individuals, yet remain fair to all? How much of outside events should we allow to enter the Ivory Tower? When does giving guidance turn into imposing our own values?
1:30-2:00 Reports on AEF activities for the year. Scholarships, Grants.
